Happy Friday!

What an insane week this has been! We were all so excited with the possibility of snow, which is so rare in Mississippi, and everyone was in such a frenzy with the threats of bad weather. Sadly, we didn't see a flake here in Meridian, but atleast I got off of work early and got to come in late. I was really looking forward to letting Knox and Rocco play in the snow!

I'm really getting excited about Christmas. I can't wait to see everyone and just be back in Arkansas. I've been getting a bit homesick lately, and I think a trip back to Rogers is just what I need! And of course I need to see my nephew.

Speaking of which, he went and had his picture made with Santa! I swear sometimes he looks so much like my brother, and other times he is fully Stephanie's baby.

Knox went to the vet today for his first visit and to get the rest of his shots. He is super healthy and getting a big belly on him! He already weighs 20 pounds! He is going to be SO big! He and Rocco are already so used to sleeping in our bed, but I don't know what we'll do when he gets bigger! Room is already tight as it is. We need a bigger bed, but the bedrooms in base housing are so tiny, we don't even have room for all of our furniture now as it is!

I finally made David take me to see Twilight, and even though I think the book was better, I really did enjoy the movie. I hope we have a completly relaxing weekend... but I don't see that happening. The base Christmas party is tonight, but I think we might go get sushi with friends instead. Still not for sure. And I have another Christmas party to go to on Sunday. And I need to finish up my Christmas shopping. And I want to take the boys to Petco for pictures with Santa. So, no rest for me I suppose. Oh well!

Happy Friday!

Life

So, for those of you bored enough to take the time out and check out my blog, thanks! My husband is active duty Navy and sadly we had to move away from all of our family and friends! But this is a great way to keep in touch with everyone and let everyone know about all the exciting things we do (or don't do ha ha)!

David and I have been married since April 21, 2007 and have been in Mississippi since January 2007. It's such a different world here! I was in such shock when I first moved here. And though it's not home and never will be, I have met some really wonderful people in our time here. I also, FINALLY, landed a great job that I really love.

I hate being so far away from family, but it's been so wonderful to start my life with David and just move forward! Being a military wife can be hectic and completely interferes with my social plans, but I love it. I have so much respect for the sailors here. They are great people and really doing great things.

We have no children, and no plans in the near future for any. But, we do have two dogs. Rocco is my first love! He is two years old and two weeks ago we just got another boxer, Knox. So, between those two, there is no time for kids. I also have the most beautiful nephew in the world. Grayson is such an amazing baby, whom I love dearly! He is growing at record speed ( I think!) and I miss being able to see him on a regular basis.

I think that pretty much covers things here. I'm so ready for the Christmas holiday. David and I are going back to my home in Arkansas for about a week and a half. I can not wait! I miss my parents and family and friends so much!

I love my sailor!

Best friend EVER!
